Celebrating Fatherhood Month in June with Exciting Activities in Virginia!

Father’s Day is just around the corner, and what better way to celebrate than dedicating the entire month of June to the wonderful dads and father-figures out there? The Fatherhood Foundation of Virginia has curated an incredible lineup of events and activities across the state to ensure that every dad feels loved, appreciated, and celebrated. Whether you’re in Richmond, Hampton Roads, or other parts of Virginia, there are plenty of opportunities to create memorable moments with your dad. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s happening throughout the month.

Richmond Area Activities

Richmond is buzzing with exciting events designed to cater to every dad’s interest:

• June 7, 6pm-8pm: Kick off the celebrations with “Sounds Like Summer” featuring an outdoor concert, pizza, and ice cream trucks.
• June 8, 7pm-11pm: Enjoy a “Movie Under the Stars” experience with a screening of Madame Web.
• June 9, 10am-12pm: Engage in some creative fun with the sweetFrog Father’s Day Craft session.
• June 14, 7pm-10pm: Attend RVA’s Daddy Daughter & Son Gala for an evening of elegance and bonding.
• June 15, Multiple Events: Start the day with a Dad & Me Epoxy Coaster Workshop (9:30am-11am), followed by a Grill and Chill Cookie Decorating Class (1:30pm-3pm), and finish with an Adult Daddy Daughter Dance (2pm-5pm).
• June 16, Father’s Day Specials: Participate in the RRRC Thanks Dad 5K (7am and virtual options), enjoy The Session – Dad’s Love Brunch (11:30am-3:30pm), join The Dad Games at Dave & Busters (12pm-2pm), and more.

Hampton Roads Area Activities

Hampton Roads also has a fantastic array of events lined up:

• June 9, 1pm-3pm: Create a special Father’s Day Mosaic Picture Frame at Happy Hour Glass Works in Suffolk.
• June 11, 4pm-8pm: Decorate gifts for dad at Uno Pizzeria & Grill in Newport News.
• June 15, 9am-4pm: Celebrate at the Father’s Day & Juneteenth Festival.
• June 16, Multiple Events: From Dads climbing free at The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium (10am-6pm) to a Father’s Day Man Brunch (11:30am-2:30pm), and a special Juneteenth Freedom Fest (12pm-7pm), there’s something for everyone.
• June 16, 3pm-5pm: Enjoy a Father’s Day Sail on the American Rover or the Signature Brunch Cruise (12:30pm-3pm).

Events Across Virginia

For those outside Richmond and Hampton Roads, there’s still plenty to enjoy:

• June 14, 8am-3pm: Participate in the Endeavor to Dream Father’s Day Golf Tournament in Ashburn.
• June 15, 12pm-8pm: Join the Father’s Day & Juneteenth Southern Soul Day Party in New Canton.
• June 15-16, 9am-4pm: Experience a Father’s Day Weekend Dual Wielding Tomahawks Class in Gloucester.
• June 16, Multiple Locations: Enjoy Father’s Day events in Charlottesville at Eastwood (12pm-5pm) and a special brunch in Williamsburg (11am-2pm).
